So, a little bit about me! I am Danish and Trinidadian. I have moved homes and countries more times than I can remember! I have lived in Denmark, Singapore, Hong Kong and Melbourne and consider myself to be a true jet-setter and lover of life! But where is home? London! Surrounded by all my friends and family, I always find my way back to London and to all its home comforts. I was a teacher at a primary school for five years, which fulfilled my nurturing nature and brought out my inner child! So where does yoga fit in? I had my first ‘yoga experience’ when I was nineteen. There was no real thought behind it, I just fancied trying something different within the scary world of fitness! I liked the sweatiness of vinyasa classes, but I wasn’t an avid yogini yet. I attended yoga classes sometimes three times a week, sometimes three times a month. It was never something I had fully committed to… until January 2019. Having made some big decisions which totally changed my lifestyle, I suddenly felt a little lost, and really quite small, in this big, bad world! Then out of nowhere, yoga seemed to find me again. A friend of mine opened a studio near my new house and I found myself going to yoga around six times a week! At first, I was addicted to the physical aspect - seeing what my body was capable of, releasing endorphins, twisting myself into weird and wonderful asanas. But before long, my love for yoga grew and I decided to complete my first 200-hour yoga teacher training, in Bali. Meditating everyday, delving into the history of yoga, learning sanskrit, and making some beautiful, like-minded friends… this training was the bridge between yoga being just exercise for me, to yoga becoming a way of life. I then decided to combine my passion for yoga with my love of working with children and have since qualified as a kids’ yoga teacher too! And here I am today, wanting to share this passion with you and to be by your side whilst you discover your own yoga journey! Love Bella x
